Moving to a new city is not like what is glorified in movies. To summarise, this is not a fairy tale but a puzzle.

1. Getting a remote job with no colleagues

Remote jobs are prevalent in the upcoming generation because they are easy and convenient to work alone and require less human interaction, especially for those with a colleague’s experience.

But living in a new place requires some primary friends which can be made through work easily.

2. Fantasising

When you move to a country or place, you must expect something from there or live alone. You might have thought that you would bring wine every day and can survive on fancy food or practice yoga and stay healthy.

But you should set realistic goals and remember that the city can only offer some things you want.

3. Overselfcare

When you move to a new place, you will encounter a different culture.

While you are still drained from culture shock, you also need to focus on yourself but sometimes taking extreme care of yourself is not the right thing.

The over-self-care and my time would not get you out of your worries and anxiety. You need to push yourself for more important reasons and get out of your comfort zone.

You need to make plans and arrangements to excel in your life.

1. Learning the language is more than just essential

If you are moving to a new place, make sure you know the native language more than the basics. This will help to avoid any kind of language barrier.

You can find anybody who is patient enough to understand you while conversing with them. If you learn their language, you will be more accepted than other people.

2. Facebook can come to your rescue

When you move to a new city, you should join Facebook communities where you can look for apartments and local information. Facebook is a great place when you want to do any event planning.

It is one of the most widely used platforms to meet new people and help people to move to a new city. Here you can meet like-minded people to offer their treasure of knowledge about city job struggles and safety.

They can help you get local removal companies.

3. Call your faraway friends frequently

When you live in a faraway city, you often lose interaction with your friends. Maintaining critical interaction with those friends is essential to endure tremendous changes.

You can go to Skype or G-meet to organize a group call or check in through voice notes and little text. They will help you if you feel down or alone, so you should not ignore them for too long.
